For buyers, my mission is to find you the right house, then successfully negotiate your purchase. I will be with you every step of the way, from the start of your search to making an offer, at the inspections and appraisal, and will hand you the keys at closing.
For sellers, my first priority is to assess the current market value of your property, because finding the right price is crucial. I will point out anything that could hinder your sale so it can be addressed prior to listing. When you’re ready to sell, I will take beautiful photographs that show your property at its best, and create an internet marketing campaign that will attract buyers near and far. Whenever possible, I attend showings of my own listings for several reasons: I can point out all the special features of the home, disclose material facts, get feedback from buyers/agents more quickly, and, most importantly, by meeting the buyers myself I have gained insight that will help us when negotiating their offer.
I am a third generation Vermonter. I was born and raised in Bennington, along with my older brother, Nate. He lives in Boston, MA with his wife, Devrie, who hails from Seattle. My parents, George and Jo-Anne, still live in the house that my dad built in 1987. As a child, I learned the value of home ownership and still believe it’s the core of the “American Dream.”
My boyfriend, Jon, was born in East Arlington and raised in Norwalk, CT. He is a builder and general contractor. Seeing how hard he works everyday makes me appreciate now more than ever the pride and effort that went into our family home.
Diploma, Mt. Anthony Union High School

I’ve always had a strong work ethic, starting in restaurants as a waitress at 15 years old. Throughout college I held several jobs in education, including substitute teacher, tutor, and outreach coordinator for at-risk students. My graduate internship was at United Counseling Services, working with clients with chronic mental illness. This led to professional positions as an Outreach Specialist, providing emergency assistance to families in crisis, then as a Case Manager in a residential treatment center for women. Providing direct clinical services taught me many life lessons for which I am very grateful, and I still enjoy helping others, but I was not meant to do that line of work every day. Changing gears in my late 20s I decided to follow my gut and dive into what I had always planned on being my “mid-life” career change – Real Estate.
Real estate has fascinated me as long as I can remember. Maybe it started at age 6 as I watched our house get built from the ground up. Or maybe it was when I started helping my dad with projects, like painting and installing trim. When TLC’s “Trading Spaces” first aired on TV, I remember feeling captivated and inspired. In 2004, my mom and I started regularly attending local open houses “just for fun,” and by January 2011, I knew it was time to take the leap and get my real estate license. Despite a tough market, I experienced success very quickly, and have been growing by business ever since.
How May I Help You?
As a Residential Sales Associate, I work with both buyers and sellers throughout most of Bennington County, but my target market is Arlington, Sandgate, Sunderland and Manchester. I enjoy getting to know my clients and their families, helping them along the often confusing and stressful journey of buying and/or selling a home. I especially like working with First-Time Home Buyers. What I love most about selling real estate is connecting with all kinds of people and helping them move forward with their goals in life.
I live in rural Sunderland with Jon and our Australian Cattle dog, Milo. I have a variety of hobbies and interests, such as cooking/baking, experiencing new restaurants, decorating, reading, music/singing, walking, yoga, etc. In the summer, I love going to the beach, swimming, and kayaking. Winter sports are not my thing, but I love the beauty of fresh white snow and Christmas is my favorite holiday. In fact, when I brought my laptop into Staples for service in July, I was caught humming carols, so the manager nicknamed me “Christmas.” I’ll admit that I’m a huge fan of reality TV, primarily Survivor, Project Runway, Chopped, and The Voice. Together our favorite shows are The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones, but Jon prefers movies, so we watch a lot of those on Netflix, too.
I’m very sociable, so spending lots of quality time with family and friends is important to me. On the community level, volunteering deepens my connections and allows me to give back. I have served on the Bennington School Board, non-profit boards and committees, and am a volunteer tax preparer for the AARP Tax Aide program. The causes I care about most include helping the less fortunate and the environment. I am an avid recycler, and love to repurpose items whenever possible, such as the dining chairs I reupholstered, or the mirrors I’ve painted and brought back to life.
When you are ready to start building a relationship with a Realtor you can trust, we’ll make an appointment to discuss your unique situation. I can educate you about local market conditions, give expert advice, show you available homes for sale, and prepare a free market analysis for the current value of your home. If you’re not quite ready for that yet, we can connect via email, texting, or phone calls. As an e-PRO, I am constantly plugged into social media, so you can also find me using the links below:
